Hi everyone. Sorry I missed last week's meeting (my mom is in town). Just realized I have a Chamber Board Meeting this Thursday and will be in Cape Cod for a wedding next week. So I'm going to give my shout out via e-mail.
Two weeks ago I sat across from George Csanadi. We got to talking and he donated a ride around the Daytona International Speedway as a giveaway to LOLA readers. What a great, great giveaway and very generous on George's part. I cannot wait for the entries to start pouring in. I'm attaching "George's page" to this e-mail. We were able to really promote him in the October issue due to his generous donation. Thank you so much George! Comments : I can't give enough thanks to John Erb and his team with John Erb's Auto Truck & RV Service Center. Recently, my car had been vandalized with four flat tires, John came out without an appointment, assessed the damage, and had the car brought to his shop without a scratch (not easy when all four tires are flat). He offered to drive me to wherever I needed at no charge, and get me a rental car if I wished. He took the time to show me the different tire options he had for my car, and got me the tires I wanted with lifetime balancing road hazard coverage, and an alignment at an excellent price (insurance did not cover the whole thing). He had me on the road within the next day!
Sometimes you have a relative that can fix cars, or might know somebody that's good with cars. John is like the good relative that's good with cars, and will take care of you and your car.
He believes in working with charities when he can, as do I, and we are currently working together with one to help the troops overseas. Kudos John, and thanks again for being part of our group.

When I began having computer problems I took my hard drive to their shop on Dale Mabry Hwy. They immediately knew what was wrong and assured me I would have it back the same day. I cannot make today’s meeting – have an insurance interview at 11:30. In general, it might be difficult to for me to make the meetings regularly, but certainly will pay the $10 – no problem. Comments : Heavenly Scent Soaps ARE heavenly!
I started out purchasing the soaps as wonderful gifts for others that were always appreciated. Being a bath gel user, I didn't see the need to switch... until I actually bought some of the soaps for my home.
After using the soap(s) myself, I found that they do not cause irritations (as other soaps tend to do). And the scents are (dare I say it?) HEAVENLY!
Whenever I purchased any soaps, I would take them back to the office and share the wonderful aromas with my friends/co-workers. On a recent trip to our our office (for other reasons), Scott and Cindy brought their box of soaps in at my request. The entire office were drawn to the varied scents, ingredients, etc. that make these soaps so unique and special. I will just say that when they left EVERYONE was happy. We were all able to purchase a great product that makes a very exceptional gift for anyone, especially yourself! We all need pampering. This is a fantastic, inexpensive way to share it.
On a personal note: Scott and Cindy are wonderful, caring, hard-working people. They are steadfast. Not only have they been and continue to be good friends to me, personally, but also a relaible source for Aging Solutions and an on-going advocate for the many indiviuals we represent. These words seem so inadequate, but I must say "Thank you"!

I had purchased various bars and given them as gifts. It was not until recently that I experienced first hand how lovely these are. My skin is not only fragrant when I shower, but it is much softer than in the past. I would recommend trying a variety of scents. The hard part is choosing which one(s).

I recently got new tires and brakes from John Erb Automotive and was very pleased with the level of service. As a woman, I am always skeptical going to a mechanic because I feel like I am being "sold" things that I don't need, but at John Erb's shop that wasn't the case. All of the gentlemen in the shop were courteous and respectful and they explained what the problem was and what it would cost to repair/replace what I needed. This group is composed of the most enthusiastic, kind and giving people I have ever been associated with ... and special thanks to our Board of Directors who give so much of their time and effort in making everyone successful.

Being fairly new to the area, it has been hard to find a good hairdresser. Tana is expanding her operations
and was able to accomodate me at her Great Clips location. She consulted with me first, so she was aware
of my needs and concerns iro my hard-to-handle hair.

I have attended other networking groups. Other groups require a membership fee, minimum referrals, etc. This group is quite different from the run-of-the-mile groups and is a very freindly, supportive group. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on this group for a variety of reasons.
Neighborhood Networks has been a reliable source of services and donations to our wards. The Neighborhood Netsworks group is our first source for our clients. It's great to know that help is just a phone call away!

A. J. is the owner of Anytime Plumbing and his business name really does say it all. For any kind of plumbing problem that you may have, A. J. and his team of professional plumbers can 'flush' the problem away. Anytime means exactly that - ANYTIME!! If youy are having guests over for a Sunday dinner and your plumbing doesn't work properly on Sunday morning - they will make it work before your guests arrive; and unless you tell them, they will never know you had a plumbing problem that morning. Estimates are free and rates are more than reasonable. For me it is "A. J. all the way".

I personally belong to several networking groups. Each has its' own good points but none are as all-around good as Neighborhood Networks. The saying "It doesn't cost - it pays" must have been invented with Neighborhood Networks in mind. It is one of the very few networking groups in the area that your only expense (if you want one) is to buy your lunch when you attend our meetings. The members are a wonderful bunch of real people who happen to be in business in this area. You may even know some of them. If you become a member here you will certainly have the opportunity to know all of them. Join us with an open mind and we will fill it for you with terrific opportunities to improve your business profitability.

I cannot say enough good things about John. He is a consumate good samaritan as well as a true networker. He is a believer in doing the right thing for a person just because it is the right thing to do. He goes out of his way to help his customers get the best deal that is possible and treats his employees as family. If you are a business owner and have to have your vehicle worked on at his shop around the time that he has to go one of his networking meetings he will probably invite you to go with him and pay for your meal as well. He has been involved in one way or another in the auto repair industry for over 50 years and admits that he still has things to learn, even though he knows more than most. Try his shop - you won't be disappointed.

Having been involved with many professional organizations over the years, I highly recommend Neighborhood Networks as a great group of other business people with whom to build relationships.
I have been a member for 2 years now and thoroughly enjoy every meeting I attend. All members are professional and reliable, yet down to earth. The humor expressed at the meetings also makes them relaxed and enjoyable to attend. This is such a refreshing group of people to be part of. I've also learned a great deal from everyone's presentations.
Personally, I have done business with Anytime Plumbing, Quality Products, Brides & Blooms, Cartridge World, John Erb's Auto Service and MeltAway Massage and always received excellent service.
I have also passed on referrals to John Price at Arrow Mortgage and Katie Levinson at Gentiva Home Health and those people were also given excellent service by them.
I appreciate all the business I have received from many of you who have become my clients or have referred business to me. Thanks for all you do and may we all have continued success.

Carpet Cleaning

Victor is a new member to our So. Tampa group, he has cleaned my carpets in my home and did such a great job.!
He treated the stains and they have not returned.
Most carpet companies that come out treat it and then a week later it returns but my carpets are still looking as good as the day he came and did them. He has since done others in the group ( north and south ) and everyone is applauding his great work.
Totally Amazed with Neighborhood Networks!!!

I have to say that Neighborhood Networks has surpassed my wildest dreams of what a good networking group should be. When this group began I just wanted to surround myself with a few good men and women. Nearly four years has passed and I can not believe the support everyone has given to this group. I have met many, many people and you all have become my friends. We have honest, hard working, dependable, fun loving people, and in this day and time that is hard to find. We all work together to achieve all we can from our businesses and everyone is always willing to help. I am beside myself, and I want to thank everyone that has supported our group in the past or are still involved with Neighborhood Networks today. I have to give personal kudo's to the people I have done business with in the past, and that is most everyone. If I have not done business with you, I hope to in the future. I am always listening to people to evaluate what they need in the way of services, and hopefully I can send referrals to everyone involved in our group in the future. As the newest member of Aging Solutions with the lightest case-load, I was given the assignment of being our representative to the North Tampa Neighborhood Networks. I am glad to represent our organization to such a wonderful group of people!
I have been attending for a few months now and find that I am not only developing business relationships, but also friendships. The members of the North AND South Tampa Neighborhood Networks have been a great support to our organization. John Erb has helped us at Aging Solutions both personally and professionally. We have wards that maintain the right to drive. Professionally, Mr. Erb has helped us to assure that the ward's vehicle is running safely and at a cost the ward could afford.
Personally, I am a single female, who is intimidated by going into an auto repair shop with vehicle problems. Being new to area, I had no idea where I might find a trusted repair shop. Not knowing auto mechanics, I am always at the mercy of the shop.
One day on my way back to the office from a Neighborhood Networks meeting, I stopped at John Erb's to have a slowly deflating tire checked. I entered the office to find smiling faces and a hearty "hello". I told them of my problem, which was quickly addressed. Not only was my tire repaired, but the technician checked the air in the remaining tires and even topped off all the fluids. I left feeling confident that my problem had been fixed, not just patched.
Subsequently, I have taken my vehicle to the local dealer (not John Erb)to have the oil changed. I left with a list of items in need of repair with the pricing included. I called John Erb Service Center anonymously and was quoted a price half of what the car dealer was to charge. I will be taking my vehicle to John Erb Service Center for all future repairs. I know I can trust him, and he's not going to "rip me off"!

I know that sometimes people read testimonials and they think, oh yeah, sure, they just made that stuff up. I'm here to tell you that what you will read from me is the real deal.
I joined this group about 5 months after it was started, my business was fairly new, and we had very little "seed" money to spend on outside advertising.
I was assured that this was free unless I decided to eat, then I had to pay for my meal. Ok, I gave it a try.
I have since grown my business 3 fold and I know that the people in this group truly are to thank for that growth.

It was just luck that I met John and Neighborhood Networks.I believe this is such a great organization of professionals to be involved with and I am so happy to have made so many friends and business partners is such a short time. Our company, Cartridge World, is a new member being represented by our Fowler Avenue address as well as at my South Tampa location on West Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa.
In a few short weeks, I have been introduced to a fantastic cross-section of upbeat and successful business people who's main desire is the sharing of information for the benefit of all who attend.
Even to the point of getting a "friendly" call the day before to remind us of an upcoming meeting in these days of trying to stay organized time management wise, it is a real plus.
I have in my short time being involved already received an order from one of the members plus have been given valid leads that could be developed into something fantastic for my company and myself.

Neighborhood Networks has changed my life!
I am single mother of two children. One year ago, I was a financial disaster. I had items in pawn shops. I was in an endless cycle of check advances.
I had a skill-set that would allow me to develop a small business, but didn’t have the finances or the credit to get it started.
I tried putting out flyers in my neighborhood, with little or no success.
Finally someone talked to me about getting involved in a networking group. Explained how they worked and asked for $325 for the year, plus $40 a month for my lunches.
After working to get the money to pay for the fees, I got only one good thing out of that group. I met someone who introduced me to Neighborhood Networks.
Six months later, I had a thriving small business. Nothing in pawn, no check advances, and no late fees. And…..I bought a house.
Believe me, it works!
